I'm a bilingual (Portuguese) Multimedia Journalist with a passion for storytelling and a flair for covering community affairs and cultural news stories in London (my diasporan home) and Angola (my motherland).

Alongside my audio storytelling and local radio work, I’ve written award-winning articles, edited a bi-weekly column for the architectural publication The Spaces and had my own for the media company Screen Shot, where I regularly dissected political, cultural and human issues for a Gen Z audience.

I am a John Schofield Trust alumni, in 2023, I was mentored by Reuters’ former Chief Correspondent, Emma Thomasson.  

 

In 2021, I was selected for the highly competitive BBC World Service ‘Future Voices’ scheme. Since then, I have freelanced across the World Service and Radio 4, working six months on the award-winning podcast, the Grenfell Tower Inquiry before joining the news team at BBC Radio London, where I have been since July 2022.

I studied multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University, accredited with NCTJs, and in 2019, I became the first person in my immediate family to obtain a degree.
